and Khandwa was a desert as my grand father and pandit told story, Also i heard in english podcast.
Your story is good but i think need some brush up that is my thought.

There are different interpretations based on different editions, Khandav was a “van” or “jungle” that was put on fire. Indraprastha was an old city, there is little information about who created it first, maybe it was Indra, maybe not – name definitely suggests it was Indra.
In old literature such as Mahabharat, it’s very hard to have one single edition as the source of truth, and much harder to create a “consolidated” view agreed by all. If your grandfather said Khandwa was desert, it was a desert – no one can deny it, and that’s the beauty of it, there is nothing be gained by any of us by agreeing or denying either.
